On January 3, 2014 I decided that my family needed to start getting healthy. I have a son who is overweight and it’s my fault. I’m the chief cook and bottle washer around here. After an almost fatal illness when he was 8, I watched him use food as a security blanket and should have nipped it in the bud. But I didn’t and so here we are. My son is over weight, my husband is over weight and I feel tired all the time.
As of this date we’re shopping for fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and good recipes! Minimal bread, no dinner rolls, no candy. We’re watching labels to lower carbs and raise proteins!
I’ll post recipes here along with weight and health progress. I’ll also share “Did you know” tips, when I find good ones 🙂
